Feeling tired

These past two days I have been feeling so tired. I still have the busiest part of my day left to get through. Jonathon has his early intervention eval tomm am. This is his 2nd eval. I love it when they come b/c I always learn something new. Mackenzie knows that this is coming up, and she has been asking "When are those people coming to train Jonathon?" She makes me laugh everytime she asks about it b/c she says it so innocently.

Martha,it's for speech and physical therapy.

That is so cute that Kenzie said that. What did they say?

It went better than expected. His scores for speech were low, but still in the normal range. His gross motor skills are mildly delayed. The PT also said he had poor muscle tone in his feet, but this will get better with time. As with the last eval, he does not qualify for therapy, and they gave me some great ideas to help him walk and talk! His Dr. thought for sure that he would need speech therapy, but it goes to show Dr.'s don't know everything!Since his eval on Thursday he has been taking some steps on his own, Yeah!!!

The general rule is walk at one, talk at two, but there are always exceptions to the rule. I had a Dr say that if Josiah didn't start talking soon they would need to re-evaluate him. He was just 12 months old. I wasn't worried, although he was more content to be a baby than the others had been.

I'm glad he is starting to walk on his own. He'll likely talk when he's good and ready. (I think Jesse Dennie didn't talk until he was almost three...)

Martha, that was so silly for that Dr. to say that about Josiah.

Jessie Dennie, If I recall he's a pretty smart boy now, right?

Far as I know all the Dennies are pretty smart. Jess must be about 19 now.
