Today is my oldest daughter Emily's 11th birthday! We are busy getting ready to go out for an early dinner today. She chose "Applebees" for her birthday dinner. Maybe I will try and post 11 things about her later....
1. She was a cute little peanut when she was born.
2. She scared us half to death by her "interesting" birth. (Michelle, I am trying not to give away many details in my list.)
3. Emily and I got our hair cut by the same girl, "Suzy" and whenever Emily came over, we would play "Suzy" with all of my girls' old hair ties, etc. It was so much fun. Once she totally got a hair brush stuck in my hair and Michelle laughed and laughed:)
4. She has always been like a niece to me and certainly filled a void in my life since my other nieces and nephews lived far away.
5. I remember the day that John and Michelle announced in church that they were having a baby! Michelle, you were wearing this really nice suit. Maybe green or blue. Maybe green.
6. I love you Em and I miss you very much! I hope you had a fantastic birthday!! You and Leah are 11!!!!
Michelle, I finally got your stuff in the mail. I am sorry there is no note or anything. I am also sorry I was not here when you called. These last two weeks have been non-stop (you will read about it in my blog). I will try to give you a call next week because it will be MUCh slower!!

Happy Birthday, Emily! I remember going to see you in the hospital when you were just a tiny baby.
